I enjoy mosaic sculpture and design. My inspiration comes mainly from the materials I find to create my pieces. It comes from the people who will treasure the inspiration from mosaic sculpture and design. There is a challenge in recycling old china, ceramic tiles and discarded unwanted costume jewellery. I bring new life to old.
My objective is to make each piece unique by using bright colours, abstract and sometimes cheeky ideas to communicate a sense of fun. Expressing my passion for mosaics by sharing with others and getting people talking is very satisfying for any artist.
My work has in the past been exhibited at Titirangi Community Art Council, Waitakere Community Art Council, West Coast Gallery Piha and Auckland East Arts Exhibitions for which my “punk fetish” sculpture won highly commended.
